Peter and Emily are married. Peter has retired early. His wife, Emily, is still working, and maintaining a very active lifestyle, and is constantly jogging and participating in marathons, unlike her husband, Peter, who prefers to chill.
Emily wants Peter to run with her during one marathon because it falls on their fifteenth anniversary. Peter is at first reluctant because he harbors a secret which he planned to reveal during the anniversary but when he sees how much running means to her, he agrees, and promises to run with her.
However, he breaks his promise a few months before the run and he doesn’t tell his wife. When his wife passes away, Peter is devastated. He blames himself for the death. And resolves to keep his promise… And run the marathon for his wife.
